Lorenzo Insigne produced a masterpiece of a goal to set Italy on the way to an otherwise routine 5-0 win over minnows Liechtenstein. The win means Spain remain top of Group G, just on goal difference ahead of Italy. Spain somehow failed to convert a huge amount of possession into goals, despite coming in behind the Macedonian defence seemingly at will in the first half. Spain will host Italy in their next qualifying game while Macedonia, who are second from bottom of the group on three points, travel to third-placed Israel, who lost 3-0 to Albania.
